This Malcolm Starr is just terrific and a glamorous take on the little black dress. That fabulous checked pattern is made by the application of little squares of glossy black sequins in a silk organza based with black velvet velvet squares fused onto the silk between each to form that amazing design. Each of those little squares was hand applied and it is surprisingly light and fluid in person. It is sleeveless with a high neck at the front and a scooped squared off back. I love the simple shift shape  with its saucy A-line cut and the way the sequins catch the light. It looks wonderful on and is flattering to most body shapes. The simplicity of the cut combined with the glam of the fabrication make it an incredibly chic dress. Excellent condition.

Fully interlined in a light black muslin and it closes with a back painted metal zipper. I see no missing sequins
